“What’s better than one baritone saxophone? Two!”

The duo Tschopp X Lang brings two baritone saxophones to the stage—a rare combination that opens up new sonic worlds. Matthias Tschopp and Charlotte Lang demonstrate how two identical instruments can merge into a fascinating whole.

With this unique formation, the duo taps into a space in jazz that has rarely been heard before: dense, resonant, and surprisingly multifaceted.​​​

After a duo concert with Matthias Tschopp as part of the “Sax at Noon” concert series, it became clear to us that the world urgently needs more baritone sax power. Voilà: Tschopp X Lang. The second move was a video session with Unit Records in the boxing ring. This was followed by a concert at Moods under the banner “UNIT live!”.
Finally, in the fall of 2026, we will expand our program, record it, and start booking gigs so that in 2027 the world can finally experience more “baritone saxophonism."
